Furniture disassembly and assembly when moving – when you need it

Wardrobe will not fit through the door? When furniture must be taken apart and what it means for your move.

A lot of furniture entered the home in parts and was assembled on site – and it has to leave the same way. Large wardrobes, beds and corner sofas often simply do not fit through doors, hallways or staircases in one piece.

Furniture that is most often taken apart

  • Wardrobes – one-, two- and three-door, and especially sliding-door wardrobes.
  • Double beds and cots.
  • Desks and computer desks.
  • Corner sofas.
  • Chandeliers.

Why sliding-door wardrobes take more work

Sliding doors, especially glass ones, must be carefully removed, protected and re-adjusted at the new address so they slide properly. That makes their disassembly and assembly more demanding than for a regular wardrobe.

How to prepare

  • Empty wardrobes and drawers before the crew arrives.
  • Tell us in advance what needs to be taken apart, so we bring the right tools.
  • At the new address, decide where each piece goes, so it is assembled right in place.

Why leave assembly to professionals

A wrongly assembled wardrobe wobbles, the doors do not close, and a lost screw can cause problems months later. An experienced crew knows the order of disassembly, keeps every part and assembles furniture to last.
